gaming music

I doubt anyone listens to the music that comes with most games for long.
What kind of music do you like to listen to while gaming?

I find my current playlist stimulating for gaming, it includes:

Disturbed
Ill Nino
System Of A Down

I like Epic music like the main menu music and battle music in CnC4.

Me too. In fact I only ever listen to music when I'm out.

sure, the music in C&C4 is excellent, but a little variation can't hurt!
oh well...

I'm very very peticular about the music I listen to ^^;, alot of the time I don't listen to music lately though since I'm either playing Modern Warfare 2 or CnC4 and being able to hear what is going on around you is extremely important.

That said if I'm on a command and conquer game sometimes I'll pop on this folder I have that has every song Frank Klepacki has ever made for C&C from Yuri's revenge back. And Universe at war which has some cool music to.

That or I tend to listen to (Lately as I have phases which change I listen to lot of diffrent types) Muse which is popular lately for me, Maximo park, and pretty much any brit/indie rock> endulum and lots of other random drum and base and party type stuff as well.

Well, music always gets attached to things in my head. So if I listened to music other than a game's music while playing, I would be thinking about whatever the music was attached to for me, rather than the game.

That's kinda confusing.

I dunno, I just think it's weird. xD Now, if I played a game where I felt the music really didn't fit, maybe then I would, if I could find what I thought was a suitable replacement.

I make an exception for the music in C&C 4, it's too good to be turned down

But as for other games, it's mostly this:

I listen to the music that comes with the game.

All the Terran songs in Starcraft 2 are awesome(I love rock and instrumentals).

I don't listen to music much when on the PC, but if I do have something on and open a game up I'll leave it on and turn the game music off. And this can include:

Talktalk
Wu-Tang Clan
